The Derry Township Police Department is investigating a Hit & Run crash that occurred on Sunday, February 4th, 2018 at approximately 1:00pm. A vehicle traveling west on East Chocolate Avenue and turning south on Homestead Road, slid through the intersection and struck the control box assembly for the traffic signal at that intersection. After the collision, the vehicle slid into the adjacent parking lot before turning around and fleeing in the opposite direction, east on East Chocolate Avenue. The striking vehicle is described as a white GMC Yukon Sport Utility Vehicle, possibly a Denali model. It should have damage on the right or passenger side of the vehicle, to include the running board. The passenger side mirror may be missing or hanging and the passenger side taillight assemble should be damaged or missing.
