Motor Vehicle Crash Report Request

You have two options in your effort to obtain the report of a motor vehicle crash investigated by the Derry Township Police. You may make a request in-person by coming to the police station during normal business hours or you may use this convenient and time saving on-line submission request and payment tool. Once the Records department of the Derry Township Police receives your request and confirms payment you will be emailed the report in Adobe PDF format within 5-7 business days. You will be notified by email if the crash report is not completed at the time of your request and the PDF will be sent to you upon completion of the report.

Please note that not all motor vehicle crashes require a police investigation. Please ensure that your crash did meet the standards set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and was investigated as a “reportable” crash by this department prior to submitting a request. If you have questions concerning this you should contact the records department by telephone at 717-533-5498.

Motor vehicle crashes that involved human fatalities cannot be processed through this portal and must be requested in person.

Please submit the following required information. You will then be transferred to a Square payment portal. You do not need to have a Square account to use this service, however you do need a valid credit card.  *Please note, there will be a $1 processing fee for each transaction. 

“All third parties vendors shall attach an authorization/certificate form to each request.  Crash reports will not be released without the authorization/certificate form when required.”
